Whiskey Ridge sits on nearly 60 acres of land in Tonganoxie, KS with stunning 365 degree views to set the backdrop of your event. The house on the property was built in 1869 and was recently remodeled to accommodate Whiskey Ridge’s bridal parties and guests. The reception hall is a 9000 sq ft black barn with a stunning, elegant interior. The only black barn in Kansas City - choose Whiskey Ridge for something different from the rest. With a bold, beautiful exterior and a lovely blank canvas interior with tons of natural light, we can help you make Whiskey Ridge the perfect backdrop for your event. We are located just 35 minutes from the KC Metro area. Our venue is close to amenities and lodging for your guests with Airbnbs local to Tonganoxie and a variety of hotels in the Kansas City area.

The House at Whiskey Ridge
Built in 1869, the House has been completely remodeled. The exterior pays homage to the classic farmhouse of the past while the interior transports you to an elegant home of today with all of the modern amenities you could ask for such as a beautiful large + bright kitchen, spacious bathrooms and bedrooms, a soothing color palette, and plenty of space for you and your family + bridal party to enjoy. Relax in the cozy living room, enjoy peace and privacy for the weekend, and rest easy knowing you have a place like home to stay during the biggest event of your life. A stay in the House is included in our full weekend bookings only.
The house on the property has two suites with luxury bathrooms. The bathrooms in the suites both have showers with full body sprayers and rain heads, large vanity spaces, and freestanding tubs. There are two additional bedrooms in the house as well as a bathroom with a large shower/tub combo. The main living area features a large kitchen, a living room with plenty of seating, a dining space, and a makeup area. There is a sunroom off of the main floor suite that our brides have been loving for photo opportunities. In the backyard you will find a fire pit and beautifully landscaped garden areas.
The Venue
The Venue at Whiskey Ridge features a bold black exterior and a light and bright interior. We have seating for up to 400 guests (tables + chairs provided by us!) 2 full service bars, a bridal suite with full bathroom, a catering kitchen, and a patio for your use on the day of your wedding. Our venue comes fully staffed with our on site venue manager, Brittani, as well as assisting staff, bar tenders, golf cart drivers, and parking attendants. Our modern black barn has all the amenities you need to have a wedding that is not only beautiful but stress free. With a clean slate and neutral colors you can truly make this space your own. We have plenty of bathrooms, top of the line HVAC to keep your guests cool + comfortable, tons of natural light, 2 glass garage doors that can be opened, and a full prep kitchen for your caterers.
The Ceremony Site
Our ceremony site overlooking the valley is a one of a kind spot to host your ceremony. With seating provided for 400 as well as 3 different arbor choices, power for your sound system, and golf carts for transport we have thought of everything to make your ceremony run smoothly while still having a beautiful location surrounding you.
The Groom's Quarters
Our groom’s quarters are in the loft space above our white barn. This space has a large kitchen island to set food out, a full kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, a large hang out area to watch TV, and a pool table for the guys’ enjoyment.
